Mission and Outreach Ministry
We are to gather together and to reach out as a community of believers. This ministry supports our national and international missionaries by promoting the four major mission offerings of the year. This ministry also plans and encourages mission trips, involvement in ABW and ABM, as well as outreach activities in the local community. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

What’s happening at Sunset Hills?
We are halfway through the year, a good time for a business meeting and potluck, after worship this Sunday in the Fellowship Hall. Didn’t get on the sign-up sheet? Not to worry. Bring something and join in the fellowship.

RetroActive is taking in lunch and a movie this week on Thursday. Check with Rev. Steve and Annie for the when and where.

Every Sunday is a good time to bring the kids, grand kids, cousin’s kids, neighbor kids and any other kids to church, but this is the third Sunday of the month, which means it is also Children’s Moment during worship.

Our church constitution says the Missions and Outreach Ministry oversees the AB Men and AB Women. Women Mentoring Women is our active group, meeting twice monthly. Did you know the state ABWM newsletter is posted every month on the slat board by the water hydrant? Our men haven’t been as active. So, Sunset Hills men, what would need to happen to become active? An occasional breakfast? Helping at one of the homeless shelters? How about attending the ABC-Nebraska men’s conference at camp on August 8-9? Guys, please think about the possibilities and provide some feedback.
