Purpose
Discipleship is an important characteristic of what it means to be a Christian. The Discipleship Ministry wants to provide the opportunities to pursue biblical knowledge, spiritual discipline and develop ministry skills. It is the hope of the Discipleship Ministry that we can provide opportunities to move people deeper in their relationship with Christ through such things as Sunday school attendance, Bible studies, becoming involved in the church beyond the four walls of the church building, and to mentor and encourage new Christians and members of Sunset Hills Baptist Church. “For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in the mirror.” (James 1:23)
