Text:  John 8:31-47
Thought:  What does it mean to be a "disciple" of Christ?  What promises does Christ make to those who chose to follow him as a disciple?  And what does it mean that Christ will set us "free?"  Free from what?  What does this "freedom" look like?  To hear answers to these questions and more listen to this message from Pastor Ron.

Text: John 2:1-12
Series:  Book of John
Thought: Life will throw us into very difficult situations and circumstances.  Sometimes those circumstances get the best of us and we become weary and worn down.  What do we do when we are low on faith, low on energy to tackle this problem any more?  What do we do when we wonder where God is in this?  What do we do?

Text: John 1:1-5, 9-14, 18
Series: Book of John

Thought:  The Word was with God and is God.  The Word is the essence of God as seen in Jesus Christ.  The Word reveals to us who God is and what God does.  The Word tells us a story; a story about God.  But where are we in that story?

Text:  John 3:16-21
Thought: What is Christmas to you?  Presents?  Family?  Decorations?  The Baby Jesus?  Maybe, just maybe, there is more to Christmas than what we normally consider.

Text: Luke 2:8-20
Thought: Isn't it amazing that of all the people that God could have sent the one and only angelic invitation to, He sent it to the lowly, smelly, filthy outcasts.....the shepherds?  What was He thinking?

Text: Matthew 1:18-25
Thought: There are no recorded words for Joseph in the Bible yet Joseph definitely has something to say.

Text:  Matthew 2:1-12,16
Thought:  The destination of worship is not the church building; the destination of worship is Jesus Christ himself.

Text: Luke 1:26-38
Thought:  Mary was told by an angel that she was "favored" in the eyes of God.  This is the Mary that would be pregnant out of wedlock, have to give birth in a stable, had to travel 10 days on a donkey during her ninth month of pregnancy, had to run from the king who wanted to kill her baby and had to see her son tortured and hung on a cross.  Soooooo....what exactly does "favored" mean?

Text: Luke 17:11-17
Thought: Thankfulness is not something that comes natural to many people.  At least not the kind of thankfulness that is expressed everyday and has become second nature to what we do.  So can a person learn to be thankful?

Text: I Peter 1:3
Thought:  We can have joy even through troubled times. (This message given by Pastor Jason.)

Text: Romans 8:31-39
Thought: The Mona Lisa is said to be worth $720 million yet I paint a picture that would be worth nothing.  A 100 year old bottle of water has no value but a 100 year old bottle of wine might be of great value.  What determines value?  And in the eyes of God, what does He see as valuable?

Text:  1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
Thought:   A Scotsman was dying and his friends were giving him some comforting words when he said, "don't worry about me, I thatched my roof when the weather was warm." Meaning I prepared for this day when times were good and thus do not fret now that my time has come.  What about you?

Text: Isaiah 58
Thought:  There have been some very significant changes in the world in the last 50 years.  One of those changes has been the sharp decline in worship service attendance.  However, there is a solution.

Text:  Ephesians 3:14-21
Thought:  While the world screams at us to take care of our bodies and to buy all kinds of "solutions" to our physical health issues, the world says nothing about the health of our souls.  Our souls require that we be dilegent and intentional in giving it the nourishment it needs.

Text:  Mark 15:33-39
Thought:  We all have barriers in our life that keeps the Lord from full and complete access to our hearts.  Jesus is a barrier breaker.  What is holding you back from total submission to Christ?  And what can be done about it?
